Hartville, Ohio USA (May, 2013) – Scanacon is pleased to announce it has been awarded three separate projects by Selmet, Inc.
Scanacon will begin by installing Acid Circulation Systems and SAFU Backwashable Filters, as well as PP process tanks, rinse tanks, tank hoods, heat exchangers and an HMI/PLC control panel on both the Large Chem Mill Line and the Etch Line at Selmet’s plant located in Albany, OR.
The addition of the Scanacon equipment is expected to optimize Selmet’s Chem Milling operation through providing relatively particle free/sludge free acid to the process, allowing for improved quality control and yielding savings by extending the life of the acid. Installation and commissioning for this first phase is planned for June 2013.
Next, Scanacon will install a Small Chem Mill package consisting of a PP process tank, PP rinse tanks, a tank hood, an Acid Circulation System, a heat exchanger and a re-conditioned SAFU for the new Small Chem Mill Line.
The final piece of the puzzle will take place concurrently with the second project. For this last job, Scanacon will provide engineering, design, labor, materials and components for secondary heating/cooling loops and a tertiary heating loop on the Small Chem Mill Line. This project will supplement the Small Chem Mill package. The second and third projects are expected to be installed and commissioned in July 2013.
